In order for your event to qualify for our Northern California Reggae Calendar and our Promotional Services, ALL of the following MUST apply:
1. Reggae is a dominant genre. Reggae music (performed live by artists and/or presented live by DJs) will occur at least 50% of the time, or a segregated area will be devoted to reggae. Exceptions may be made for festivals at administrator's discretion.
Why? Because our calendar is a reggae calendar, and therefore viewers expect that the events they find on the calendar will be dominantly reggae. We plan to expand to other genres in the near future; please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
2. The event will occur in Northern California. Our calendar covers all regions of Northern California, bordered in the south by Monterey and Fresno, and continuing north to the Oregon Border. We also include events on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe.
We have maps of the approximate areas our calendar currently covers. We are working on a new region for the Lake Tahoe area (not listed in maps); events near Lake Tahoe are visible from the Full Calendar only.
Why? Because at this time our calendar only covers events in Northern California. We plan to expand to other regions and states in the near future; please email email@example.com for more information.
3. Flyers for the event must not be demeaning to women. We will not add any events whose promotional materials or theme demeans or otherwise degrades women. If we have an issue, we will contact you and attempt to resolve it.
Why? Because we are, first and foremost, a women's empowerment group and we will always be working to empower women in reggae. Demeaning and degrading promotional materials are in direct conflict with our Mission, and therefore we cannot acknowledge them.
